Late Season

Outdoor Sport Film

About the Project

A short film exploring the temperamental relationship with Scottish snow and the reward of chasing lines when everyone else thinks that you’re mad for packing skis on your back in May. Late Season premiered with the Inverness Backcountry Snowsports Club, was accepted into the Fort William Mountain Film Festival official selection and screened in the Highland Cinema, Fort William.

The storyline was constructed naturally, following events as they happened, always with the undercurrent topic of the film- skiing during the late season- running through it.

The film was shot in a run-and-gun style, with a vision for the cinematography planned out beforehand, allowing room to allow opportunistic footage on location.

Having these two storylines interweaving throughout the film gave real depth to the subject at hand and became extremely relatable to Scottish skiiers.
